Judith Weisfogel, Founder & Principal Consultant

I am an admissions advisor and editor with extensive experience guiding students and families through the application process. My background includes professional work in publishing and education, with a focus on clarity, structure, and voice.

Before concentrating on admissions consulting, I held senior editorial roles at ELLE Magazine and Hachette Filipacchi Media and worked in fundraising at Carnegie Hall and the Marlboro Music Festival. I also developed curriculum and taught humanities courses at various schools in the Princeton area. These experiences continue to inform how I work with applicants today: listening carefully, helping them organize their ideas, and refining language without losing their individual voice.

I attended Northwestern University before transferring to Sarah Lawrence College, where I earned my degree. My own path through college gave me an early appreciation for the fact that fit matters.

Etan Weisfogel, Consultant

I studied Film and Media Studies at Columbia University, where I was a John Jay Scholar. I bring a strong background in writing, editing, and critical analysis. My work as a film writer and critic has sharpened the same skills that matter in application writing: close reading, narrative focus, careful structure, and attention to voice. I also have extensive experience working with middle school and high school students as a standardized test and academic tutor. 

At JWK Consulting, I help students shape their ideas, strengthen their writing, and develop application materials that are polished, thoughtful, and authentic. I work on essay development, drafting, revision, proofreading, school research, and application organization.
